# Monarch Running Total

I am currently using Monarch Pro 11.  On this report, I want to move the Priority Date of ONLY the Mfg. Orders up 30 days, recalculate the Expected Avail based on that new date and determine when the Expected Avail goes below 1.  In the example below, M-M2870385 would now have a Priority Date of 3/30/16 moving it before P-555896 and making the Expected Avail on 3/31/16 -30.  If it can be done, I'm thinking it will involve multiple exports but I'm stumped on where to start with this. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

You might be able to do this in one model - define a calculated NewDate field as if(left(Order;1)="M"; OldDate -30; OldDate).

Then a summary with Part Number as key, NewDate as a key for sorting, and a Running Total as a cumulative subtotal measure might do the trick.

Best wishes,

Thanks so much Olly, I was making this much more difficult than what it was.  I wish I would have posted this a long time ago, I would have saved myself a lot of time!

Ok, I have what is probably another silly question.  This report contains hundreds of part numbers, how do I tell the summary that I want the cumulative subtotal by part number and not for the entire report?

I don't have Monarch to hand to double check - the iPhone version hasn't yet been launched, alas - but it might be worth fiddling between key and item field status for the dates, and to insert subtotals each time the key changes - in the layout tab of the summary options for the key field. There are powerful tricks with the summary functions - http://blog.greenbar.info/post/38642836779/duplicated-data - so I'm sure you'll solve it.

Best wishes,
