    Grouping of data

    abc cdf

      Hi  All,

I have just started working on datawatch now and need your suggestion on how to group data in a table. I'm trying to convert a .txt file into a report. I'm having issues with grouping similar data (column). Is there and option of grouping similar data and then getting the sum of those columns.

Let me know if you need any details from my end.

Your help will be highly appreciated.

      Thanks,

      Mohan

          Dear Mohan,

Hello and welcome. In Modeler, you should be able to define calculated fields to add columns together, and a summary to total them.

          Good luck,

          Olly

              Hey Olly,

              Thanks for your reply.

So for example if i have a name and a gender columns in a txt file, i'm able to get a report which consist of name and gender column through datawatch but how do I group all the male gender together, display them first and get the total number of males in summary and how do i do the same for female gender and get the summary? Is this grouping possible in datawatch?

              Thanks,

              Mohan
