    Cell color format

    Bradl Vogl

I have a spreadsheet with a Part field and Customer field

I need to color format the Part field cell based on the text value in the Customer field.

If Customer is ABC than all related Part cells would be color filled.

      How can I this?

      Any help will be appreciated

      Thanks,

      Brad Vogl

          Hello Brad,

Monarch will let you colour cells, but only in a summary, and then based on numeric value bounds, and then only giving you three options (for lower than normal values, for normal values, and for higher than normal values). If you want each customer's data to be a different colour, and have more than three customers, it could be tricky.

How many options are there for the "ABC" in your example?

          Best wishes,

          Olly

              Hi Olly,

I have around 20. I have been doing a conditional format with Excel.

I was hoping I could have saved that step with a Monarch solution.

Not a big problem.......I really appreciate your speddy response.

                          This forum is great.

              Thanks,
