new user - need speed tutorial and help with find max remove duplicates

    gov$nvegas _

Hello, I am new to the forum and I have basically 0 experience with Monarch Pro. I am not a programmer or code writer, I am a business/data analyst. My experience has mostly been with Cognos/BOXI/MicroStrategy BI type tools and Excel.

      1) Is there a speed tutorial? I have 2 PDFs from the Monarch website, but I'm a little short on time, and I'm really interested is just doing one thing at the moment. Any thoughts? Videos on youtube?

      2) How can I create something that scans a file for duplicates, locates the max and then deletes all the other lines?

      Example:

      Account Purchase Date State Code

      8800000  03/01/2012  MD  C

      8800000  03/05/2012  MD  C

      8900000  02/28/2010  CA  B

      8900000  07/01/2011  CA  B

      8900000  08/22/2011  CA  B

      8900000  03/01/2012  CA  B

I want to scan it and end up with this -

      Account Purchase Date State Code

      8800000  03/05/2012  MD  C

      8900000  03/01/2012  CA  B

One record for each account, showing the max date.

      Is this easy?

      Thanks!
