Project Automation

    Rusch Mauzy

      (Using Monarch Version 10.5 Pro)

I want to use projects to automate a Summary.

I'd like project #1 to open a report file, perform external lookups and export the resulting table to an Access database file.

I'd then like project #2 to open the Access database file, apply sorts, filters and calcualted fields and produce a Summary.

Is it possible to have Project #2 invoke project #1 (i.e., link project 2 and 1)?

If this is possible, how would I go about this?

      Thank you,

          Hello Rusch,

The simplest method to automate the projects is a batch file:

          "C:\Program Files\Monarch\Program\Monarch.exe" "C:\Projects\Project1.xprj" /pxall

          "C:\Program Files\Monarch\Program\Monarch.exe" "C:\Projects\Project2.xprj" /pxall
There's a lot more on automating Monarch at www.******************** including a Batch File Generator that lets you configure more options.

          Best wishes,
