Move files Action when an Alert is trigger in Data Pump

    alexluo _

      Hi

In Data Pump, when an Alert is trigger, there are only three actions available: Email, RSS, and Log.  We would like to have one more action "Move". We want to move the failing input files to some where else (e.g. Error folder) so that it won't affect the process from monitoring.

What happen now is when a job failed, the input file is still sitting there, which in turn cause the process stop monitoring.

Do you have other ideas about how to move the failing input file after that job fails?

      Thanks for your support.

          Hi Alex,

Is the Input Distribution defined for that project failing also? As you already know, you cannot enable monitoring until you have an Input Distribution that removes the file from the folder, either by deleting it or moving it elsewhere.

What do you see in the logs?

You can also use script to deal with this - check out the AddDistribution_Move method.

Alternatively you can use straight VB.NET script code in the PostProcess script to tidy up.

          Thanks

              Thanks for your advise.

This issue has resolved by vb script.
