but it shows up as when only the interest should be populated once.

I am having trouble creating the template for the blank and then when populated INT.

      any help would be appreciated.

          Hello Adonis,

My hunch is that you're using an Append or Footer to trap the interest line, and that this is persisting into the wrong Detail records.

It's easy to fix in v10 - just edit the template properties for the interest line and set this to be Cleared By the detail template.

can you point me in the right direction Olly?

Do i create 1 detail template for the 3 combined or create seperate append templates for all 3 seperately?

i did the latter, and it didn't work, tried doing the detail, that isn't working as well, as it put the interest properly as blank in the wrong line item.

                  Hello Adonis,

Could you post some more complete sample data in CODE tags? It's not clear from the sample in your first post what the "3 combined" are that you mention in the second post. Also the reference 05357NAA5 in your sample output doesn't appear anywhere in the sample input shown above it. If you could try to include a whole page of the report as a sample, that might be helpful?

                  Best wishes,

when I refer to the 3 (i mean PRN, INT & NET are available), while in the other possible case there is (PRN & NET only available) not sure how to keep formatting on here so will highlight areas, normally they are aligned in same line somewhere around position 67.

                          Hello Adonis,

You shouldn't need anything too tricky here - assuming that it's possible to reliably trap the reference number 05357NAA5 in a line on its own as a footer template.

The Detail template can then be a nine line sample starting on AVENUE, trapping on line 3 of 9 to grab the regular text DUE in the first three columns.

You can extract the PRN, which I guess might drift left or right in a longer sample, by just selecting all of line 2 and then using a calculated field in the table to get what you need.

Assuming that INT always appears in the line with IMPACT at the beginning, but that this can be line 4 or line 5 depending on the record, select the IMPACT line in your sample and define a field with Advanced Properties that starts on a preceding string of "impact ".

Repeat for the NET data using the string "current factor: ". You'll need long fields like "1.13193055 NET 3,169,405.53" un;less you can be sure that the number of decimals in the factor will always be the same, and so that the NET value will always start in the same column.

                          Hope this helps,

                          Olly
