I need to capture either only the lines after the NON-ADD NOTES: section or I need to be able to add NON-ADD NOTES: to the records of those below it only so that I can pull only those records.   I also need the header info (report date) and all of the record fields for those particular accounts.  Would this be possible?

          Hello Kristie,

Yes, it's certainly possible. If you use a detail template to pick up the records:

          000011111111 NAME1, NAME2          3  181 GD     41.34     41.34    714.98    1  04/04/11   MGIC                              302

            0000010000
and an Append template to pick up the line:

          NON-ADD NOTES:

          /CODE

and on the Append template highlight the "NON-ADD" as a field called , then the records above the "NON-ADD" line won't have the append data but the records below will, so you can filter on ="NON-ADD" to get the records you need.

Bear in mind that subsequent pages might have "bad" records above a later "NON-ADD" line, and more good records below, so you should use the Cleared By feature in v10 to stop your append template from persisting over page breaks.

To do this, define a Page Header template on the line:

          /90.471/ XXXXXXX XXXX                              DISTRIBUTIONS TODAY             LM-194  XXX152141   03/15/11         PAGE   5
and then in the properties of the Append template (the NON-ADD one) set the Cleared By button to clear it when it finds the PageHeader template.

          Hope this helps,

          Olly
