    Trouble with a model

Each of these lines is one account's detail excep for the lines with the A's in them.  That detail belongs to the account above the line which it appears.  Is there a way to capture the "A"'s underneath this account detail?  I need that data to ultimately show up after the 6th column.

          Hello CWood and welcome,

Yes, easily in v10 of Monarch and also, differently, in earlier versions.

v10: define a detail template on the F... lines. Then define a footer template on the A lines, and click the Cleared By option on this footer template, to ensure it is cleared by the detail template.

v9: (assuming your data is as simple as in your example) trap the detail template, and select one big MEMO type field that covers the whole line instead of six fields. Double click on this field, click on Advanced, select "end on... none of the above". Then use calculated fields in the table to extract what you need, using lsplit() and textline() as required.

          HTH
