It would be nice to be able to automate printing, but Monarch doesn't stretch quite that far. One solution would be to create a project, with an export that outputs the summary as a text file. You could then copy that file to the printer port from the command line - possibly not easy if you're using a network printer.
This will only work with a text file output, so won't be any help for PDF or XLS summary formats. For XLS there might be a way to call Excel with a script that opens the exported file and prints it.
For XLS there might be a way to call Excel with a script that opens the exported file and prints it.
This can be done in VBS.
In it's simplest form use the following in a VBS script:
Set objExcel = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
Set objWorkbook = objExcel.Workbooks.Open ().printout
I should mention that there's a tool available that can help to more easily prepare the VBA code for Monarch automation.
You can find out more about it in this post on programming Excel which is part of the 30 Days to Become a Better Monarch Modeler series.
