How to Sort a Summary Column and then graph a top 10 from the results

    JLain _

I have an AR report and I want to sort 60 Day AR in descending order by customer. I dont see a sort function like you would in a pivot table in excel. Secondly, I would like to produce a pie graph listing the top 10 accounts by these summary amounts.

      Any ideas

          Hello JLain,

If you have a field, say "60Days" which is numeric, then in the table you can create a new sort which lists this in descending order. You could also create an advanced filter in v10 which will show only the first ten values in this order.

But it's best done in the summary. Create a summary which has "Customer" as a key, and "60Days" as a measure. Then in the properties of the Customer column, select Matching, First 10 value, and Sorting, Measure descending.

If you deselect the option to group all the other values (11th, 12th etc in the list) as "All others", then you can get the data, and the graph, of just the first ten.

          Best wishes,

          Olly
