Advanced filter

    JLain _

      I have an AR portfolio that I need where AR is assigned by collector code on an aging report. I have a generic collector code that I would like to create an additional filter that would separate the account by alphabet....A-K, M-Z. So the question I've how to capture that information...i.e.  excel I could use "begins with" an A for example.

          Hi JLain, and welcome to the forum.

          You can simulate Excel's "begins with" functionality by combining the .In. operator with the Left function in your filter expression, like this:

          Left(,1) .In. ("A","B","C","D","E","F","G","H","I","J","K")
So Monarch will include a record where the first letter of the collector code is included in the A-K list.

          Build a similar list for L to Z and you're ready to go.

          Alternatively, you could use:

          Left(,1) >="A" .And. /SIZELeft(,1) <= "K"
and

          Left(,1) >="L" .And. /SIZELeft(,1) <= "Z"
