    Reports with 24:00h problem

    Matthijs _

      Dear all,

I've got reports with intervaldata and made a template to capture date, time and values etc.

That works fine expect the date / timefield. When viewing the results of the traps in table data, I see that monarch chaged the 24:00h to 00:00h.

The problem is that the date should also be changed to the next day but it doesn't automatically cause it's another column. (logical) I've tried to make a calculated field with the simple formula: date+time. But also that doesn't work. It returns: (null) for timestamp 24:00h

      Does anyone has a solution?

Below an example of the intervaldata:

      08/01/01

      ...

      ...

      22:45          .00       92.40

      23:00          .00      102.00

      23:15          .00       90.00

      23:30          .00       87.20

      23:45          .00       94.00

      24:00          .00       94.00 <-- 24:00h becomes 00:00h, but date 08/01/01 stays the same.

      08/01/02

      0:15         4.76         .00

      0:30         4.61         .00

      0:45         2.62         .00

      1:00         2.64         .00

      ...

      ...

          Hello,

I wasn't sure what the second and third columns were in the sample data, so just assumed the third column was an interval in seconds. Yes, Monarch would assume that 24:00 is the same as 0:00 - but you can easily extract the elements of the time and interval and calculate the total number of seconds, then combine this with the date. I've got a model here I can email you if you like?

          Best wishes,

          Olly

              Hello Olly,

              Thank you for your reply.

              The report looks like this:

              08/01/01

              ...

              ...

              22:45     .00     92.40

              23:00     .00     102.00

              23:15     .00     90.00

              23:30     .00     87.20

              23:45     .00     94.00

              24:00     .00     94.00 <-- 24:00h becomes 00:00h, but date 08/01/01 stays the same.

              08/01/02

              0:15     4.76        .00

              0:30     4.61        .00

              0:45     2.62        .00

              1:00     2.64        .00

And the (table columns) result looks like this:

              Date       |  Time  | Value1 |  Value2

              -

              ---------

              +-----

              08/01/01 | 23:30  |   0.00  |   87.20

              08/01/01 | 23:45  |   0.00  |   94.00

              08/01/01 | 00:00  |   0.00  |   94.00 <-- the date should be 08/01/02

              08/01/02 | 00:15  |   4.76  |    0.00

              08/01/02 | 00:30  |   4.61  |    0.00

              08/01/02 | 01:00  |   2.64  |    0.00

The third and fourth column are intervaldata (value1 and value2)

I'm very interested to the model. I hope it can solve my problem.
