What a very interestingly timed question!
Check out the specs for Version 8.
Otherwise you might consider splitting the string (LSPLIT or RSPLIT according to choice) and concatenating the parts together again with the character of choice between them.
At a more technical level there is always the MSRP utility to consider although it may be a bit extreme for this purpose.
There are probably other approaches as well, especially if the field(s) involved have consistent formats that would make specific positioning using "stuff" and removal using "Strip" .
I hope this helps.
example Replace("1111.222.333", ".", "_")
returning 1111_222_333 /b[/quote]
Never Mind....I just received the email with the new features for V8 for Monarch. It now has the REPLACE function as an option.
I did however figure out a way to fix my problem.
You have to do an LSPLIT, and divide my data into 3 separate fields, and did not include the "." as data. I then concantenated the fields, using the "_" as the delimeter.
Long way of doing it, the REPLACE function with make this much easier.
