Identical header and footer

I'm having trouble trapping a multi-line footer where the first line is identical to a header line.  Absolutely no differences! I can't trap on anything but the first line of the footer.  Any solutions?

                Sorry hit enter too soon

I would try trapping all the info as a detail line & get rid of the header. Then in the table window filter by the recno() to get rid of the extraneous headers.

                Regards,

                    Hi,

                    Is your report like this?

                    This line is the same

                    This is header 1

                    Detail 1

                    Detail 2

                    Detail 3

                    This line is the same

                    This is the footer 1

                    This line is the same

                    This is a header 2

                    Detail 4

                    Detail 5

                    Detail 6

                    This line is the same

                    This is the footer 2
If so, you can ignore the fact that the header is also trapped.  A footer only gets added to the detail rows above it, so the header 2 section (trapped as a footer) will not get added to any rows as there are no detail lines between it and the correct footer for detail 1 to 3.  However, you need to make sure that the headers are not repeated within the detail rows.

                    Regards

                    Steve
